When surface heights vary, our transition strips create safer gradations between Life Floor and the ground level. We recommend transition strips at the edges of most retrofit applications in order to gradually slope down to the level of the existing substrate.

Our transition strips are 76.2 mm deep, come in standard 609.6 mm widths, and are ADA compliant.

For new construction, we recommend recessing the slab 6.35 mm for our 9.5 mm thick tiles in order to eliminate the need for transition strips.
