The tiles were easy to install and we are really pleased with the outcome. There’s no doubt the inclusion of Life Floor really adds to user safety - and that’s got to be a positive for everyone.
— Mark McLean, General Manager of Total Creations & Services

Local Griffith pool builder Total Creations & Services was awarded the contract to demolish the old spa and build a new one for the ‘Griffith Regional Council in March 2018. The spa was one of a number of water facilities within the large Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre in north-western part of the Riverina region of New South Wales.

Rather than lay a traditional ceramic tile floor around the spa deck, Council agreed to install Life Floor anti-slip non-abrasive foam rubber tiles. The Ripple texture was chosen as it conforms to AS4586:2013 Wet Pendulum Test meaning the tile can be installed in any aquatic area including steps, ladders, and ramps.

Installation was undertaken by Mark McLean of Total Creations under the watchful eye of Life Floor accredited installer Grant Burgess. A total of 9 square metres in blue was installed in an afternoon using a proprietary contact neoprene-based contact cement. Centre Manager Alan Anderson said "safety is paramount around pools and spas, and we wanted to try something new but it need to have a high slip rating, look attractive, and be easy to maintain. We have been really happy with the way Life Floor performs and are confident spa users will really enjoy a soft, yet grippy floor to walk on."
