Charters Towers Waterpark

Townsville construction company, TP Aquatic Constructions, was awarded the tender to build a $3.5M a zero-depth interactive waterplay park including an amenities block, plant room, filtration plant, shade sales, and landscaping for the Charters Towers Regional Council in North Queensland, Australia.
Life Floor safety surfacing was specified in 10 mm Thickness, Ripple 2.0 Texture for the large waterplay area in five colours. This unique design features custom cut circles that visually transition between areas. An additional impact attenuating layer of Life Floor is disguised surrounding the elevated play structure perimeter to improve safety and reduce the injury risk should a child fall.
